Cerquad

The CERamic QUADpack, better known as a Cerquad is a square, ceramic, surface mount package. It is constructed of a single pressed layer of 92% Alumina ((Al₂0₃), with a leadframe embedded into the non-vitreous glass. These packages can be hermetic or non-hermetic. The leads are either flat, J-bend or gullwing. The most common being gullwing. These packages do not have a metallized seal ring and use a ceramic lid and some have a ceramic window frame attached to the top of the base to add additional strength. The package has pins on all four sides of the ceramic.
